Learn about the Health of Plants
Plants are like people. They need optimal environmental conditions and adequate nutrition to grow and thrive. A plant which is in good health will be better able to withstand a disease or an onslaught from pests. They will also be more likely to bear plentiful and full blooms, and higher and better quality fruit yields.
This course covers all aspects of plant health. It examines problems associated with insect pests and those attributable to diseases and other pathogens. It also looks at the role of the environment and how it can be modified to improve plant health, and considers what types of interventions can be used from chemicals to integrated pest management systems.
